Eastview's main service is held at 559 Chapel Road on Sundays at 10am.
We honour God in a contemporary style with worship songs, prayer, video clips and testimony, and we listen for God's Word as the pastor and other teachers share the Bible. The service is coordinated by a member of the Worship Team and the music is usually provided by one of our bands. Communion is celebrated about once a month.
The first twenty minutes or so are aimed at including the children, then during term time they usually go to their age-appropriate educational programmes in other parts of the building. A creche for babies and toddlers is held on the ground floor but parents are welcome to keep their little ones with them for the service. Baby Dedication during the early part of the service is available for those parents who wish to welcome their children to God's family in this way.
At the end of the service, we offer a prayer team to listen and pray for individual needs, and share coffee and tea in the cafe space next to the foyer.
At special times of the year, we offer different styles of service. For example, all ages worship together at the end of each school term, or at Christmas and Easter. Sometimes the youth lead the whole service. One or more contemplative services are held during Holy Week. Believer's Baptisms are a significant occasion for testimony and celebration and are held as needed during the year.
Eastview's Night Service run fortnightly at 6:30pm on Sundays.
An energetic time of worship and sharing, strong music focus and an informal layout. The messages aim to connect with people under 30 and are often presented by one of our young adults. All welcome.
Prayer Spaces are held on the alternating fornight from the evening services. This is a time of silence and contemplation. Resources may be provided for meditation but usually there is no singing or leadership from the front. People can come and go between 6.30pm and 7.30pm as they are able.
